FTR4H Meetup at MEDICA 2019

This November, MEDICA– World Forum for Medicine – will once again be the center of the medical and healthcare universe.  MEDICA is the industry’s leading, largest, most comprehensive and most international life sciences event anywhere!  Held annually, on average it features over 5,200 exhibitors from 70 nations and hosts nearly two dozen educational conferences, forums, and special sessions.

Powered by MEDICA, FTR4Hwill be presenting the Future for Health Lounge in the USA Pavilion, Hall 16, booth H11-8.  Now in its third consecutive year, the Future for Health Lounge has evolved from an exhibit platform showcasing digital health companies, to now serve additionally as a FTR4H-ambassador hosted lounge for networking and the exchange of ideas about the digital disruption and transformation of the healthcare industry.

Returning as an exhibitor to the lounge this year, Los Angeles-based dms-servicewill again be presenting its advances in Ambulatory Monitoring technology.  This year’s highlights are a sneak preview of the myPatch®sb 30-day 3 channel monitor and their T-electrode providing the ability to record V1, V2 and L1 with no additional wires.

Joining as an exhibitor to the lounge this year, Duisburg-based Mutelcoroffers turnkey solutions focusing on remote patient monitoring (RPM) covering diagnostics, medical device integration, real-time vitals data transfer and more. Mutelcor’s Rural mHealth solution has successfully connected rural health centers in emerging areas of South Asia and Africa to district/city hospitals, able to run on low bandwidth, and thereby bridging the doctor-patient gap and enabling patients in remote areas to access quality care and timely treatments.

A visit to MEDICA will not be complete without stopping past the Future for Health Lounge!  And be sure to add the Future for Health Meetup to your calendar for Wednesday, November 20 to your schedule!  The hosted networking reception will start at 4:30 pm, offer refreshments, and serve up the exchange of ideas revolving around digital health and how Mobile, Data, IOT, Blockchain, Robotics and AI advances the whole health continuum.

We look forward to seeing you there!

MEDICA:  Undisputedly the world’s most important trade show and gathering place for the medical industry worldwide.  Americans have long been a driving force behind both the quality and size of this event, on average featuring over 500 US-based companies occupying about 2 acres (or about 1½ US football fields!) of exhibit space at the Düsseldorf fairgrounds.

Over the past decade in particular, mobile, IoT and big data has emerged as perhaps the most revolutionizing dynamic in the medical industry marketplace, and the US med-tech industry not surprisingly continues to dominate the global landscape.  Some industry reports suggest digital health market revenues here may surpass $150 billion within the next 5-7 years.

In tandem, FTR4H FUTURE FOR HEALTH is an international platform powered by MEDICA that has risen alongside to highlight wireless and digital technologies – showcasing and exploring how digital transformation is affecting and will continue to drive important developments in the healthcare industry.

And now for the first time, the USA Pavilion at MEDICA 2017 will also feature a FTR4H LAB showcasing innovators and visionaries in this field.

The first company to join the FTR4H LAB is Westlake, Ohio based Blue Spark Technologies, Inc.  A pioneering developer of thin, flexible, printed power solutions,  Blue Spark Technologies’ latest innovation, TempTraq®, is the only Bluetooth® wearable continuous temperature monitor in the form of a soft patch that can continuously and comfortably monitor body temperature for up to 72 hours, sending real-time temperature data to a Hospital’s Nurse Monitoring Stations, EHR, and Smart Devices.  With TempTraq’s new TempTraq Connect HIPAA-complaint Cloud, it can also be used remotely and enable a hospital to monitor patients at home in real time.

TempTraq has been tested in the most demanding environments at leading hospitals including Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center and Akron Children’s Hospital and has been clinically proven to detect fever 30 – 180 minutes earlier than a 4 Hour SOC in trials with Bone Marrow Transplant Patients (Abstracts available upon request).   TempTraq is an FDA cleared Class 2 Medical Device and by November and MEDICA, the device will be CE approved and available for both Consumer and Clinical markets in Europe.

For more information about TempTraq®, plan to visit them at MEDICA 2017 – hall 16 / stand C20-6 or contact Blue Spark Technologies / VP of Sales, Mr. John Baragar
